And here we GOOOO! Everyday for the next 5 days, we’ll be introducing you to one of our six fabulous artists in our Kindred Art Collective. I'm wildly excited to introduce you to artist Antoana Oreški-Džafić, an artist and illustrator from Croatia! What is your favorite crayon or paint color?
Tough one...but I find myself constantly drawn to Turquoise and Tangerine, possibly the influence of our Adriatic sea :) I do love white tones with silver, greys and lavander shades too :)
If you were a super hero what would your super power be? And your name?
For some reason I dream a lot about flying and in my dream it feels soooo good so my superpower would def. be flying! Name: Buzz Lightyear!? Lol! :D Just kidding! Name: Storm! :D
Tell us about how you decided to pursue a career in art?
Ha! I don't think I ever saw myself doing anything else...it's what I kept saying to Mom & Dad ever since I was little and they took me pretty serious when I enrolled School of Applied Art & Design. From there on one step led to another and here I am now! I did work in other ind. thru periods tho, and they were all valuable experiences, but I know I'm in the right place at the right time now :)
What inspires you?
Everything really! My kids, nature- big time!" ( bugs, lizards, spiders, sea creature and sea flora.. you name it!) lol, i love berry florals a lot-somehow they always seem so inviting. Colour palettes, esp. in Home Decor...I love Home Decor!
Tutu or Boa?
At 1st I thought of the snake :) LOL I'd say Tutu!
Your wish for mankind.....
To be driven by love in every aspect of our lives. And to never ever forget that inner child within you-that kid has enormus faith...we need more faith!!!
